Thanks to community fundraising, a Floyd County man will be able to see, according to an article from WYMT. The past six weeks Sonya Roberts has been fundraising for her son, Blake Fannin, to get a pair of eSight glasses. Fannin, age 20, was born with a condition where his optic nerves were underdeveloped and had fluid on his brain. The eSight glasses allowed Fannin to see his mother for the first time. Roberts thanks the community for helping to raise the $15,000 needed for the glasses, for which Fannin will be fit on September 14th and receiving a few weeks after.
