Police are searching for a suspect in the assault of an elderly Martin County man. WSAZ reports a 77-year-old man answered his door Friday evening and was beaten unconscious and robbed. The man’s wife said the suspect stole money, jewelry, and prescription medication. The wife went to her next door neighbor, Williamson, W. Va. Police officer Grady Dotson, for help. Dotson was nearly run over as the attacker fled the scene in a 2008-2009 white Ford Explorer. If you have any information, please call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 606-298-2828.
