Lieutenant Governor Addressed Job Corps Graduates

Lieutenant Governor Jenean Hampton addressed graduates of the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center in Prestonsburg on August 26, according to the Floyd County Chronicle. She spoke with graduates about her different jobs before becoming an elected official, such as serving seven years in the U.S. Air Force. Hampton told graduates to not be surprised if their career paths change over time and to get outside their comfort zone. She also shared a quote from Governor Matt Bevin saying, “if your head and your heart don’t show up for work at the same time as your feet, then you’re in the wrong job.” She gave her regards to the graduates on behalf of herself and the governor that their journey is both interesting and rewarding.
