MARTIN COUNTY, KY – Martin Circuit Court has charged Charlene Carter, 34, of Debord, under the Rocket Docket program. Carter faces felony meth possession and public intoxication charges after police allegedly found her with meth on November 1, saying she was impaired and a danger to herself and others. Her arraignment is set for November 20. The Rocket Docket program expedites non-violent drug cases and helps connect defendants with treatment while cutting jail costs.

 

LOUISA, KY – A Louisa man, 62-year-old Thornton Eddie Goble, faces charges in two separate indictments. In one case, Goble is accused of firing a gun and endangering five people, including two juveniles, on April 29. He’s also charged in a second case with his fourth or greater DUI, driving with a suspended license, and having an open alcohol container after an August arrest, where his blood alcohol was .185. Goble remains jailed with separate bails, pending a pretrial services evaluation before possible release.

 

CARTER COUNTY, KY – Two men were arrested in Carter County following a narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of more than 10,000 doses of fentanyl, totaling over 1,080 grams. Deputies, assisted by the K9 Unit, arrested 35-year-old Anton Glynn-Miles from Detroit and 43-year-old Craig Horton from Grayson. Both men face charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance and remain in the Carter County Detention Center.

 

PAINTSVILLE, KY – A man was arrested after stealing a pickup truck in Paintsville. On November 9, police say a resident on Robin Hill Road called 911, reporting his 2011 GMC Sierra was stolen while warming up. The owner quickly located the truck nearby and found 41-year-old Brandon Gullett at the scene. Gullett claimed a stranger gave him permission to take the vehicle, but the owner said they’d never met. Gullett was arrested for auto theft and resisting arrest and lodged in Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
