Dingess, Wv – Police say 27-year-old Christopher Mills of Inez was arrested November 29 in connection with a November 17 shooting in Dingess, West Virginia that injured Shane Nelson. Mills is charged with attempted murder and using a firearm during the commission of a felony, and investigators say a second suspect, 51-year-old Crit Vance, has not been arrested. Mills is also facing separate drug, firearm, fugitive, and parole violation charges in Wayne and Cabell counties, with bonds set at more than 100,000 dollars.

 

Belfry, Ky – A Belfry man is facing several felony drug trafficking charges after a probation check turned up suspected drugs and a gun.​ Kentucky State Police say Trooper Terry Mounts was called December 5 to the residence of 47-year-old Frankie T. Myers Jr., where officers reported seeing suspected meth and a rifle in his camper.​ Police say a consent search turned up scales, baggies, about 16 grams of suspected meth, 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, 1 gram of suspected heroin and a Taurus rifle.​ Myers was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on multiple trafficking charges, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and drug paraphernalia, and is already on probation in another trafficking case.

 

Johnson County, Ky – A Johnson County man is behind bars after police say he attacked a woman with a machete. Kentucky State Police were called to a home in Martin County on December fifth, after a woman was dropped off there with a cut to her wrist. She told troopers fifty-one-year-old Ronnie Mollett of Boons Camp slashed her with a machete during an argument. Troopers went to Mollett’s home to question him. Mollett admitted the two had been arguing. He was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, domestic violence, and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

 

Johnson County, Ky – A Johnson County man is facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Paintsville. Paintsville Police say Officer Isaac Owens pulled over a 2007 Ford Edge on Third Street on December fifth after it swerved across the fog line. The driver, 54‑year‑old Rocky Ellis Caudill of KY 201 in Sitka, gave consent to search the vehicle, and officers say they found suspected meth, a THC vape, baggies, a scale and other drug paraphernalia. Caudill was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
