The Floyd County Chronicle reports a man was arrested last week in connection with an assault in Floyd County. Chris Cox, 31, was treated for injuries at St. Joseph Martin where Kentucky State Trooper Matthew Mihalik matched him to a description of a knife assault suspect. He was arrested after being cleared for release. Cox attempted to kick out the rear window of the vehicle to escape. He was later returned to St. Joseph Martin for treatment after Trooper Mihalik had to pepper spray the suspect. Cox is charged with three counts of first degree assault, four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, and menacing.
