Perry County, Ky – Deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a 26-year-old Vicco man in connection with a February UTV death. Sheriff Joe Engle says Noah Back was taken into custody at his home around 1:30 Saturday afternoon after a judge signed an arrest warrant, and he was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail. Back is charged with murder in the death of 16-year-old Emilynn Clark. Investigators say Back’s actions on February 28 showed “extreme indifference to human life” and led to Clark’s death. The case remains under investigation.

Rowan County, Ky – Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened after a driver fled from troopers in Rowan County Friday night. A trooper first spotted a speeding gray Chevrolet Camaro on I‑64 near mile marker 128 around 8:45. The driver refused to stop and exited at 133 onto Kentucky 801. Around 9 p.m., another trooper tried to pull the car over, but the driver sped off again. Investigators say the Camaro left the road near Kentucky 801 and 519, hit a utility pole and caught fire. Troopers could not get the driver out. He was identified as 30‑year‑old Donavan Porter of Olive Hill. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the case remains under investigation.

Wolfe County, Ky – Kentucky State Police say one person was killed and two others were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Kentucky 191 in Wolfe County Saturday afternoon. Troopers were called to the 2400 block of KY 191 around 3:50. Investigators say an SUV crossed the center line and hit a pickup driven by Troy Perry of Campton. Perry was pronounced dead at the scene by Wolfe County Coroner Frank Porter. The SUV’s driver was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington, and a passenger was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed.

Pike County, Ky – A Pike County woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to two counts of producing child pornography. Forty‑five‑year‑old Pamela Denise Sargent, of Kimper, entered the plea March 20 in Lexington before U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell. Prosecutors say that between December 2023 and June 2024, Sargent recorded herself and two toddler‑aged children in sexual acts, then sent the videos to someone in Missouri. The charges carry a possible sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison, followed by at least five years of supervised release. She will have to register as a sex offender, and sentencing is set for July 9 in Lexington.
