A Knox County inmate is back in custody after escaping a work detail August 22, according to WYMT. Shane Browning was found by deputies after receiving calls from Hinkle residents on Saturday about the man knocking on doors. He was found hiding inside a treehouse. Browning’s original charges included criminal possession of forged instrument, tampering with physical evidence, giving officer false name or address and receiving stolen property. He is now back at the Knox County Detention Center.
