A Boyd County church has organized a homecoming dress giveaway, reports WSAZ. Joyce Blanton, who works at Rose Tree Boutique, started the giveaway eight years ago. She contacted area school resource centers when the dress shop planned to get rid of some dresses. The giveaway has grown in popularity and is now held at Vineyard Church of God in Catlettsburg. Saturday’s giveaway had over 2,000 dresses for girls to choose from. Blanton said it makes her happy to help those in need.
