“Join us for a relaxing float on the Levisa Fork River in Prestonsburg. After hearing such positive feedback to last year’s changes, we are switching things up slightly this time around! Beginning at 8:00 a.m., participants can drop their watercraft off at River Park behind Billy Ray’s Restaurant, 101 N. Front Ave., Prestonsburg, KY 41653. This is where we PREVIOUSLY registered. We ask that Paddlefest participants then head to the Combs Airport to register and park your vehicle. This is the PREVIOUS ending point. This is where all will register and receive wristbands to participate in the paddle and lunch. Shuttles will be provided to transport you to the starting point at River Park. This change up allows less physical contact with those outside of your household and more convenience after the paddle is complete. A delicious catered lunch will still be served at the airport. From there, participants can enjoy the convenience of grabbing their watercraft and vehicle when finished. Bring your own kayak or rent one, whatever floats your boat! Tickets, $15, include not only a fun paddle with old and new friends, but also offers a shuttle and catered lunch.
In a strong effort to continue to keep everyone extra safe during this outdoor event, we ask that all participants wear a mask and maintain 6′ distancing while registering. Masks are not required while on the water. Lunch tables will be spread out along the park to sit with members of your own households.
Watercraft rentals are available from Profitness (606-886-8604) or Jenny Wiley State Resort Park (606-889-1790). Based on availability.
