Kentucky State Police arrested a Letcher County woman around 9:15pm last night for driving under the influence while her 16 month old child was in a booster seat. Monica Mullins was pulled over near Lizzie Fork in Pike County and according to the arrest citation, Police said she had slurred speech and a sobriety test was not conducted as she could barely stand. Officers also witnessed Mullins pull a syringe from her shorts while in the police cruiser. Two other syringes were found inside her van. She also refused a blood test, and was then taken to the Pike County Detention Center. She has been charged with DUI and endangering the welfare of a minor among other charges.
