In Harlan County, a special event was held to kick off the county’s Relay for Life at the Harlan Depot. The event saw 110 people attend the Cancer Survivors Dinner, with 57 survivors on hand. Celebrated at the survivor’s dinner was the fact that each year a person survives cancer, it is called a birthday for them. Huff Park will be the site of this year’s Harlan County Relay For Life which will begin Friday night at 6pm and end on Saturday morning at 6am.
