In Martin County, deputies are currently investigating a fire that took place yesterday. A camper caught on fire and its unknown if the cause was arson or an explosion due to meth making. Officials found items used to make the drug inside the burned camper. Police received a tip about the camper on Wednesday night and when they showed up, five people ran into the woods from the camper. The camper caught on fire Thursday morning and police believe that either the people returned to make meth or purposely set the camper on fire. Police say they have strong leads in the investigation but ask anyone with information to phone 606-298-2828.
