After their community was devastated by flooding in 2010, some pike county residents are making sure that the people of Flat Gap in Johnson County do not have to go through the same trauma. Donnie Smiths home was destroyed in the 2010 flash flood.  He feels that it is his duty to help the people of Johnson County any way he can. Donnie has combed his community getting donations to aid in their recovery, remembering the help he and his community received when they were in need.
