Locals and national aid have stepped in to help those displaced by a fire in Hazard. The First Presbyterian Church in Hazard has been converted to a shelter by the Red Cross, and is housing 20 of the near 100 people who lost their homes to the blaze. Other local churches are scrounging to collect food, money and other supplies to help get those individuals back on their feet. For anyone wishing to aid those affected, there is an event at noon today at Hazard’s city hall.
