Authorities are waving off claims that a plane crashed in Knott County. After the call came in around 11:00 on Wednesday morning crews made up of local law enforcement and fire fighters combed the area, with the aid of a DEA helicopter which was in the area. Witnesses say they never saw the plane go down, but noticed it flying erratically. After searching for several hours, and receiving no reports of missing planes they called off the search. Knott County Sheriff Dale Richardson said that the people who called in the crash will not be facing charged, since he doesn’t believe that they had malicious intent.
