Lt. Governor hopefuls square off

Two candidates vying for the Lieutenant Governor’s office met in a debate yesterday at Midway College. Democrat Sannie Overly and Republican Jenean Hampton addressed their outlooks on issues such as common core education, the pension shortfall, the Kynect healthcare system, gun control and Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis. Each candidate mirrored the reports of their running mate, Hampton with Matt Bevin and Overly with Jack Conway. Heather Curtis, who is the running mate for Independent Drew Curtis, was not invited to the debate since she did not meet the criteria. The gubernatorial candidates will square off on October 25th at Eastern Kentucky University.
