Voter turnout for this election remained low throughout the day. According to the Kentucky Board of Elections, voter turnout for this election was just over 30 percent, with over 982-thousand ballots cast out of 3.2 million registered voters. Most of Eastern Kentucky fell in the 20-30 percent range of voter turnout, the exceptions being Menifee and Rowan Counties. Floyd County had a turnout of 27 percent, Pike was 23 percent, Johnson was 27 percent, and only 23 percent of Magoffin voters turned out for the election. Statewide Franklin County had the best turnout with 48 percent, while Christian County had the worse with 18 percent.
