The heavy snow that blanketed Eastern Kentucky caused the roof of the Paintsville Marina to collapse over the weekend. According to owner Bruce Blackburn the damage is extensive to the structure and the boats that were sheltering under it. In a statement to WKYT news Blackburn said that some boats had already sank, and the rest were all that was keeping the dock afloat. After the roof collapsed officials locked the marina down, and tapped off the scene. Blackburn’s next step is to get an estimate from his insurance company; he believes that there is between 2 and 4-hundered thousand dollars in damages.
