A new bill would define bullying in Kentucky

Representative Rita Smart of Richmond sponsors the legislation. According to the bill, bullying is “any unwanted verbal, physical, or social behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance and is repeated or has the potential to be repeated”. Having a concise definition of bullying on the books could help school districts stem the practice. The bill passed the house education committee and will now go for full house consideration.
