The KY Senate has approved a bill

Kentucky’s constitution does not currently allow convicted felons the right to vote but a bill has been passed that might change all that. House Bill 70 is now heading to the House of Representatives which would let voters make the choice of amending the state’s constitution to let lawmakers restore the voting rights of former felons. Democrats in the House have already green lighted a bill that would change the constitution to automatically give back the rights of some nonviolent felons, with the exception they’ve completed their sentences, and have no other pending charges.
