A Domestic Violence Order was in effect regarding Pamela Smith, and her estranged husband Terry Briggs, According to a news release, Smith told officials she shot Briggs after he came to her home and threatened her, Briggs was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Deputy Ernie Casebolt. Charges were not filed, however officials are investigating, as the case is to be held before a grand jury.
