Officials are investigating a fatal collision that occurred last Friday. The introductory  investigation indicates that Freeda Taylor, 87 years old of Turkey Creek, Kentucky, attempted to enter US 119 from KY Route 292 in the South Williamson community of Pike County. Taylor entered onto US 119 in the path of an oncoming vehicle traveling South on US 119. Taylor was transported from the scene by EMS to Williamson Memorial Hospital. Taylor suffered fatal injuries in the collision, and was pronounced deceased at WMH. Taylor was not wearing a seatbelt.
