Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead is investigating a double fatality collision that occurred early Saturday morning on KY 11, Mt. Sterling Road, in Fleming County. KSP was contacted by the Fleming County Sheriff’s Department July 30th at 3:30 a.m. requesting assistance on the scene of a two vehicle head-on collision on KY 11 near Sherburne. Mr. Shane Day, 23 years old, of Owingsville, KY, and Mr. Robin Willoughby, 40 years old, of Carlisle, KY, were both pronounced deceased on scene by Fleming County Coroner Winston Grannis. Ms. Phylicia Peterson, 28 years old, of Paris, KY, was an occupant in Mr. Willoughby’s vehicle. She has been transported to U.K. Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
