– Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) held its Employee Service Awards on Wednesday, August 3 at the Mountain Arts Center (MAC). The college honored employees for their dedication to the college in five-year increments.  John Herald, dean of information technology and facilities management, was honored for 45 years of service.  Two former employees – Mary Halbert and Betsy Spradlin – were recognized as retirees.  Mary Wallen and Aaron Brooks, both faculty members, were recognized with the Leading Educator Award from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).
