Kentucky State Police, Pikeville Post, is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Pike County during the afternoon hours of Saturday, September 03, 2016. The initial investigation indicates that Cecil Hawkins, 62 of Blountville, TN was traveling North on US 119 in the Belfry community of Pike County. Hawkins lost control of his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle and struck the rear of a 1997 Yamaha motorcycle.  Both operators and two passengers were transported by EMS to Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, WV.   Hawkins sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at Williamson Memorial Hospital.  Evidence at the scene indicated Hawkins was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
