According to the Associated Press, The Kentucky Arts Council are allowing teachers and administrators to apply for a new program to bring professional artists into schools. The Showcasing the Arts program will be open for applications through October 1. The program allows Kentucky-based visual and performing artists to visit schools and present or perform their work, discussing their creative process. Public and private schools supporting preschool through grade 12 can apply for the grant, which covers the artists fees. School must provide travel reimbursement and a performance space.
