Kentucky HEALTH Passes Milestone

On Thursday, September 8, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services acknowledged the completed submission of the Kentucky HEALTH program. Governor Matt Bevin called this an important milestone and looks forward to public input over the next thirty days. After the 30-day federal comment period, the Medicaid statute provides full authority for the Secretary of Health and Human Services to approve the waiver at any time. The plan will have taxpayers paying a portion of Medicaid expansion costs beginning next year.
