A funeral service was held Saturday for a 16-year-old Jackson County firefighter, reports WYMT. Christopher Harrison died September 5 from complications related to a motorcycle crash. He was a junior volunteer firefighter with Sand Gap Fire Department and a JROTC cadet. His impact led many of his fellow students to follow him as a junior firefighter, with ranks growing to 16 at Sand Gap. The ceremony was said to be emotional and the kind you would expect for no one less than a “hero”.
