Ilona Burdette has been named the new director for the Kentucky Virtual Library, a program of the Council on Postsecondary Education. Burdette served three years as the director of the Marion County Public Library in Lebanon, KY, and 17 years as director of library services for St. Catherine College. Burdette said the Kentucky Virtual Library was of central importance to St. Catherine College in providing “affordable, high quality resources to…students and faculty.” She said she hopes her new role will allow her to make sure individuals across Kentucky are aware of the “wealth of resources available to them through the Virtual Library.”
