WYMT reports a Laurel County man has been arrested and facing multiple charges after impersonating a police officer and meeting with a 12-year-old girl for sex. 22-year-old Joshua Wagers is charged with second degree attempted rape; attempted impersonating a peace officer; illegal possession of legend drug, and possession/use of radio that sends/receives police messages among other charges. Wager was arrested Sunday after he arrived at the girl’s house and was then held by her father until police arrived. The two had met before and the man told police he thought the girl was 16. Wagers is being held at the Laurel County Detention Center.
