Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Gray spoke at a rally at the Knott County Sportsplex this past weekend. According to WYMT, Gray said his record as Lexington Mayor proves he is ready for the Senate, specifically with his record on job creation, a top priority for him if he wins the senate seat. He said his mayoral administration created 1,500 jobs and hopes to “improve the rest of Kentucky right here in Eastern Kentucky.” Gray is opposing incumbent Senator Rand Paul in the November election.
