L’Oreal to Build Solar Projects in Kentucky, Arkansas

The Associated Press reports that cosmetics manufacturer L’Oreal USA is building solar panels at their facilities in Kentucky and Arkansas. The company is looking to cut carbon emissions and create two of the biggest solar-powered projects in each state. 5,000 solar panels will be installed at the plant in Florence, Kentucky, making it the largest commercial solar array in the state, and is expected to be operational by the middle of next year. The plant in North Little Rock, Arkansas will be that state’s third largest commercial array with 4,000 panels. Both projects are being developed by Little Rock-based Scenic Hill Solar.
