Murder Victim Identified After Almost 50 Years

The Kentucky State Police has identified the remains of a woman whose body was found almost 50 years ago. According to the Associated Press, DNA testing has identified the remains of Sonja Kaye Blair-Adams, originally from Letcher County. Her body was found on the side of Little Shepherd Train in 1969, with police determining she had been slain. Her daughter, Karen Stipes, contacted officials after finding information about the case and presented the possibility it could be her mother. Police are continuing to investigate and hope to find the killer.
