Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Knox County

A man was arrested Monday afternoon in Knox County after a traffic stop. Kentucky State Police Post 10 Detective Aaron Frederick was traveling on KY 225 in the Artemus Community of Knox County when we noticed erratic driving from a white 1999 Nissan. He stopped the vehicle and detected a strong odor of marijuana. The driver, 26-year-old Joseph Wagers, of Corbin, admitted that marijuana was inside the vehicle, along with some marijuana brownies, and that he was driving to the Kay-Jay community to sell it. Wagers was arrested and charged with multiple vehicle violations, as well as trafficking and possession of marijuana.
