A traffic accident earlier today in Lawrence County has left two people dead. The accident was between a truck and a passenger car at the intersection of US 23 and KY 645 near the Lowmansville community. The Lowmansville Fire Department along with other emergency personnel responded to the scene where two people inside the car were pronounced dead. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials rerouted traffic while the scene was investigated and US 23 and KY 645 were reopened before 10am.
