As the investigation into the Brannon Road project in Jessamine County, emails have been released that suggest Representative Russ Meyer lied about his knowledge of the project and that former Governor Beshear rushed the project in his final weeks in office. An email dated Tuesday, October 13, 2015 that Meyer understood last minute adjustments would impact the schedule. Governor Bevin’s Chief of Staff, Blake Brickman, said “Meyer should immediately apologize to his constituents in Jessamine County and the Bevin Administration for lying to further his own political agenda. He should also call on Speaker Stumbo to call off his silly investigation and stop wasting taxpayer money on political theater less than three weeks before the elections.”
