In the morning hours of Sunday, October 23, Post 9 Pikeville received a panic alarm from the Shelbiana Double Kwik in Pike County. Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unknown male entered the business armed with a firearm. The male brandished the weapon and demanded money. The clerk retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash and gave it to the male before he fled the scene on foot. The male was described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a black mask covering his face. The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case, and can call KSP Post 9 at 606-433-7711.
