At around 8:20 Sunday evening, Hazard Police received a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General on Black Gold Court. Preliminary investigation indicated two men driving a white truck or SUV pulled into the exit side of the Wendy’s parking lot and backed into a parking space before walking up the hill to the Dollar General store with their faces and heads covered. Both men reportedly brandished handguns and demanded money from the cashier. They left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
