Tax season is here again and the Floyd Sheriff’s Office is now accepting payments for your 2016 Property Taxes. Payments can be made at their office locations, one at the old courthouse in Prestonsburg, as well as the new McDowell annex. The Prestonsburg location will also have a night deposit box located around the drive thru for payments made after the regular business hours of 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. A 2% discount will also be given to taxes paid before November 30, 2016, but penalties will be charge if not paid by December 31. Payments can be mailed to the Sheriff’s Office at P.O. Box 152, Prestonsburg, KY 41653, or you can look up and pay your 2016 property taxes online at fcsoky.us.
