Burn Bans Lifted in Most Kentucky Counties

Due to recent rains, many burn bans across the state have been lifted, but there are a few that still remain. Some counties were asked to keep their bans in place until the end of the fall fire hazard season on December 15. Burn bans remain in place for much of our listening area, including Floyd, Pike, Johnson, Magoffin, Knott, Letcher, and Harlan counties. For those counties burn bans have been lifted, it is still illegal to burn within 150 feet of a woodland area between 6am and 6pm until December 15.
