Floyd County Sheriff and Prestonsburg Save-A-Lot Partner to Help Local Student

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and Prestonsburg Save-a-Lot partnered together to provide necessary tools for a local high school senior to achieve his dream. Sheriff John Hunt and deputies learned about the student during a call several months earlier, where they learned the young man wanted to help his family’s financial needs by becoming a mechanic. Sheriff Hunt nominated the student for Prestonsburg Save-a-Lot’s “Friends Helping Friends” program. He was awarded hundreds of dollars in tools and tool boxes to help achieve his dream. In a release by the Sheriff’s department, it said Sheriff Hunt and Save-a-Lot are thrilled to help this local student and look forward to what they future holds for him.
