Around 8:40am December 6, Knox County Deputy Keith Liford responded to a complaint of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a car in the middle of Emanuel Hollow Road in Gray. When Deputy Liford arrived at the scene, he noticed a bag inside the vehicle, containing three different types of pills and two small plastic bags of suspected methamphetamine. Two more bags of the suspected drug were also found, along with a spoon, syringes, and over $100 in cash. The driver, David Davis, 52, and his passenger, Margie Grubb, 38, were charged with Public Intoxication, Possession and Trafficking of a Controlled Substance, Improper Container, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
