Kentucky State Police Post 9 is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Pike County during the afternoon hours of Tuesday, December 6. The preliminary investigation indicates that Janice Holbrooks, 63, was traveling on US 460 in the Shelbiana community of Pike County. Holbrooks lost control of her vehicle, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided with a vehicle operated by Tosh Akers. Holbrooks was transported to Pikeville Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
