The morning of December 9, Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision at the 121 mile marker on Interstate 64 in Bath County. Upon arrival it was determined that Sean W. Ashburn, 31, of Winchester was traveling eastbound when he crossed the median into the westbound lane and struck a tractor trailer operated by Gregory Allen Vandergriff, 47, of Martin, TN. Ashburn was pronounced dead at the scene by Bath County Coroner Robbie Powell.
