Elderly Woman Robbed in Prestonsburg Wal-Mart

On Friday, December 16, 2016, Sergeant R. Frasure with the Prestonsburg Police Department responded to a theft complaint at Wal-Mart in Prestonsburg. The victim, an elderly woman, reported that she was in the store shopping when a young male and female couple began talking to her and distracting her, during which other subjects open her unattended purse in her shopping cart and took her wallet. Her wallet contained several credit cards, personal identification cards, and several hundred dollars in cash. The suspects, two males and two females, traveled to Wal-Mart in a white Chevrolet Trail Blazer with a “Friends of Coal” sticker in the bottom left corner of the rear window.
