Ashland Police Department, working with Sprint, has identified and made arrests in a cell phone theft ring of at least $13,000 in stolen phones. APD responded to Sprint’s call to investigate employee Ryan Maynard, who admitted to stealing phones from store inventory and provided them to T.J. Sizemore to launder through “The Phone Store” in Ashland for a fraction of the actual costs. The owner of “The Phone Store,” Ed Edwards, sold some of the phones over the internet. Over $10,000 in stolen merchandise was discovered. Edwards and Maynard have been arrested, while Sizemore remains at large.
