Knox County Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking

On Thursday, May 18, Knox County Deputies conducted a search at the residence of David Merida on Merida Drive in Flat Lick. During the search, Deputies located a large quantity of crystal meth and a large quantity of assorted controlled pills. Merida, 51, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. Due to numerous firearms being located inside the residence, he was also charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon. A John Deere 650 Dozer reported stolen from Bell County was also recovered at the Merida residence. David Mullins, 34, of Flat Lick, was present at the time and arrested on a Bell County warrant.
