The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of thefts from motor vehicles in several different areas of Laurel County from the past several days. Numerous vehicles were entered illegally and items were stolen from them. In most instances, the vehicles had been left unlocked and purses, wallets, money, cell phones, electronics and other items were stolen from them. The Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols throughout the county and reminds citizens to always lock their vehicles at all times and remove items of value before locking it.
