Submissions are now being accepted for Kentucky’s 29th Annual Essay and Slogan Contest. The essay contest is open to students grades 9 through 12 and the slogan contest is open to students in grades 6 through 8. The essay has a 600 word limit, with one entry per student and a grand prize of $1000. The slogan contest is also limited to one entry per student with $1000 awarded to first place. The school with the highest participation rate will receive a $500 prize. Funds for the awards will be raised by the Kentucky Secretary of State’s office. The deadline for entry is Friday, December 15, 2017 at 5pm.
